Zambia Road worthy Inspection IN South Africa

This document provides information for those stakeholders requiring the mandatory vehicle pre-shipment Road Worthiness Inspection (RWI) for export to Zambia from South Africa commencing the 1st December 2009.

South Africa inspection details are as follows;

INSPECTION CRITERIA

The inspection is to assess the vehicle for;

a. ZABS Roadworthiness Inspection.
b. The vehicle should be free of CFC (R12) gas.
c. No age limitation of the manufacturing year of vehicle. d. Left hand drive and Right hand drive are acceptable.

The vehicle must be presented with the original vehicle Registration Certificate.

Fees

All inspection fees must be paid in the form of bank remittance and the corresponding bank statement is to be submitted at the time of booking.

Inspection Fee: R1,685.00 + VAT

CERTIFICATE

JEVIC RWI Certificate can be dispatched COD once the vehicle successfully passes the inspection process.

Note: Any vehicle not inspected in South Africa and arriving in Zambia will incur a fee calculated on 15% CIF and subject to inspection upon arrival by ZABS.
